James strode across the lawn; the grass was wet from the heavy rainfall the night before and the ends of his trousers and the hem of his cloak were already soaking wet. His footsteps gave off squelching sounds as he walked, the wind bit at his exposed skin and he was relieved when he reached the shelter of the porch of Hagrid's cabin.
He gave two sharp knocks on the giant wooden door.
Muffled footsteps could be heard from inside the cabin and a few minutes later, the door creaked open to reveal the half giant with large pink and spotty oven gloves on his hands.
"Hi Hagrid," James grinned.
"'Ello, James. C'mon in," the half giant said, shooting James a lopsided smile.
He stepped aside and waited as James passed over the threshold and into the cabin. Hagrid glanced around him anxiously before shutting the door...
